Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst Install and upgrade packaged platforms Develop and extend recovery procedures and automate manual tasks Provide release and defect management in conjunction with our development team Promote a strong control and process environment that guarantees the integrity and continuity of business information Proactively analyse and recommend for system improvement, and produce any supporting documentation Provide technical support of the Production, UAT and Development environments Provide rostered on-call and after hours support as required. Experience with various flavours of Linux including especially RHEL/Centos; **Experience with tools**: Tomcat Oracle and PL/SQL MySQL Postgres GIT **Experience with automation tools**: Anisible Puppet **Experience with Atlassian stack**: JIRA Bitbucket(Stash) Confluence Hipchat Bamboo **Experience with at least some scripting languages e.g.**: Java Python Ruby Groovy JavaScript Bash/Shell ANT Maven Shell Perl **Experience in enterprise messaging system components**: ActiveMQ JMS Experience with tuning & administering J2EE apps and SQL Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent time management, coordination, accuracy and attention to detail Experience working with geographically dispersed teams Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organisation, as well as third party providers Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related degree
